Supanova Fundraising
Which investors are worth researching for your startup?
An investor list becomes useful when you can explain why each name belongs on it. Start with your stage, sector, and target geography. Check an investor's current focus and the evidence behind it. Supanova helps carry that context into fundraising research, so you can review possible fits and choose what to prepare next.
Setup begins with email and account access, then a short company brief. You request research separately after your workspace is ready. You can also use the exercise below without signing in.
Why is this investor on your list?
Try these checks on one name you already have:
- Describe your company. Write down your current stage, a specific description of your sector, and where you seek investment. Broad labels can make fit hard to judge.
- Find the investor's stated focus. Does a current source include your stage, sector, and relevant geography? Note the investor's own published information or another source you can identify.
- Keep the evidence with the name. Record the source and its publication or update date, if available. Note what it does not establish, including whether the mandate is still current.
- Decide what to check next. Complete this sentence: “This investor is worth further research because ___; I still need to verify ___.” If you cannot give a sourced reason, leave the name in your research queue. Even when no other gap is obvious, confirm that the focus and preferred contact route are current before outreach.
Carry your brief into Fundraising
1. Set up your workspace and brief. Enter your email, then create an account or sign in. Add your stage, sectors, company location, target investment geography, immediate goal, and useful notes during workspace setup. You can save partial answers. A known stage and a specific sector give a more useful basis for reviewing possible fits.
2. Open the Fundraising department. Setup installs the Fundraising Pack and can propose a first project from your brief. A proposal is a starting point for work you choose, not a completed investor search or pitch.
3. Request research. Once the department is ready and you have supplied enough company context, make a separate investor-research request. Review the reasons and gaps behind any possible fits before deciding which names merit more attention.
Pack installation and its research connection are free while the Pack is installed. Later Atom project work follows your wallet and operating settings and can cost money. Introductory credit is subject to one-time eligibility; it is not a fixed grant for every visitor.

Read the reason behind a possible fit
When research returns a possible fit, look beyond the name. A result can show why the investor surfaced, a supporting source and verification detail when available, a caveat, and what the research covered or excluded. Use that evidence to choose your next check.
| Question | Your notes |
|---|---|
| Why might this investor fit? | Stage, sector, and geography to check |
| What supports that view? | Source, date if available, and what still needs checking |
| What is uncertain? | Caveat or missing information |
| What did the research cover? | Coverage or exclusion note |
| What will I verify next? | Current mandate and preferred contact route |
This card is a guide, not a sample investor result. A research run can return up to five initial possible fits, fewer, or none, depending on your company context and accepted research coverage. A possible fit calls for verification; it does not show investor interest or predict funding.
Choose the work that follows
You can request pitch-narrative or follow-up drafting through a project. Review any completed draft, check the claims about your company, and decide whether to contact an investor. A saved prospect or draft is not a sent message. If you make contact, confirm it and record the actual send date.
Questions founders ask
What should I put in the fundraising brief?
Start with what you know about your stage and sectors, then add company location, target investment geography, your immediate goal, and useful notes. You can save partial answers. A clear stage and specific sector make possible fits easier to assess. If one is uncertain, record what you do know and add detail as your brief develops. Research still needs enough company context to proceed.
Will I see five investors after entering my email?
No. Account and workspace setup, Pack installation, and a separate research request come first. A run can return up to five initial possible fits, fewer, or none, depending on context and coverage.
Does a possible fit mean the investor is interested?
No. It is a research judgment to inspect. Read the reason, source, date if available, and caveat, then check the investor's current mandate yourself.
Will Supanova send a pitch or follow-up for me?
You can request preparation work and review any resulting draft. A saved prospect or draft does not send a message. You decide whether to contact an investor and record the real contact date.
What is free, and what may cost money?
Fundraising Pack installation and its research connection are free while installed. Later Atom project work uses your wallet and operating settings and can cost money. Introductory credit follows one-time eligibility rules.
Can I use my existing Supanova account?
Yes. Choose sign in during setup and continue with a managed workspace you can access. That does not create a second account or promise another introductory credit.
