Week of September 20: Install An Autonomous Fundraising Department
Install An Autonomous Fundraising Department
Last week was about the work landing in the tools you already keep it in. This week is about who does the work in the first place.
Raising money is the job founders do alone, in the cracks between the other jobs. It is research, a list, a pitch, and a hundred follow-ups, and there is rarely anyone to hand it to.
So we built a department you can install instead of build. This is the first one, and it runs the raise.
What's New
Investor Relations, staffed on arrival
New department now has a Pack field. Pick Investor Relations and you see the crew before you commit to anything: five atoms, the roles they hold, and what the department is there to accomplish.
Then it builds itself in front of you, step by step, and opens when it is done.
A department used to be an empty room you staffed yourself. This one arrives with atoms already in it, ready to get to work.
It asks what you are raising toward
Your stage, your sector, where you are, where you are raising, and the one thing you need to happen next.
You are allowed not to know. "Not sure" is a stage. You can leave target geography open and still get a useful answer.
What you tell it becomes the department's understanding of your company, and it stays on the page with Adjust the goal next to it, because the raise you described in September is not the raise you are running in November.
Investors, with their receipts
A match is not a name with the Investor Relations pack. It's a name, how well it fits, and the evidence that put it on your list.
Every claim carries its source and the date somebody verified it.
You get at most five at a time. If the evidence is thin, you get fewer, or none, nobody is padding the list to make the page look full.
Start before you have a workspace
There is a fundraising page now at supanova.team/resources/tools/fundraising, sitting with Surveyor and the other tools.
Start there and what you came for travels with you through signup. At the end you land in the department itself, ready to work, rather than on a dashboard wondering what to click.
Guides for planning out loud
Two new Help Center guides cover planning work by voice with the Chief of Staff: how to shape a proposal together, and when to Save as plan versus Confirm & start. Four more were updated so you can find the flow from wherever you already are.
Every article now shows when it was written and when it was last updated, so you can tell what is current.
Sixty-eight weeks in. You built it, you talk to it, you trust it, and now you can hire a department into it. See you next Sunday.
